The Worship (Liturgy) Commission promotes and strengthens the programs of continuing liturgical renewal. Serving the Parish in the areas of liturgy and ecumenism (other Christian denominations), the Worship Commission also promotes and provides for programs of education, planning and evaluation. It is also involved with liturgical celebrations and is the liaison for relations with Christian and non-Christian churches and religious bodies. Source: Archdiocesan Guidelines.
Currently, the Worship (Liturgy) Commission is focused on cultivating parishioner leadership in the areas of training liturgical ministers for the celebration of Mass (lectors, eucharistic ministers, Mass coordinators, adult acolytes, altar servers, greeters, ushers); for leading communal prayer, such as the Centering Prayer, Lectio Divina, Devotions, and Wake Services to name a few. The commission is also focused on how renewal is presented so as to promote full participation.
