The “Hearts a Glow” 10th Anniversary Fundraiser for CCRT, Catholic Community Response Team is Saturday, March 1, at Notre Dame Prep. This evening will include lots of Fun, Beer & Wine Tasting, delicious Appetizers and Live & Silent Auctions.
The Hearts Aglow event is important to the operation of CCRT. Opened in 2004 by our area Catholic churches, CCRT workers provide direct referral and support services to those in crisis in the Pontiac area. CCRT also seeks to build a bridge between the Pontiac community where roughly 50% of children live at or below the poverty level, and the surrounding area consisting of many affluent suburbs in Oakland County. In the ten year history, CCRT has served over 5,000 persons regardless of race or creed. 100% of all donations and grants (excluding an Operating Grant from the Archdiocese) have gone to direct client services… including food, shelter, clothing, and utility support. Given the current economic environment, CCRT is finding it very difficult to meet the needs of the growing client base.
All St. Andrew Parishioners are asked to consider attending this fundraiser. Tickets are available for $40 per person. The proceeds will benefit the Catholic Community Response Team programs. Please pick-up your ticket by cash or check at the St. Andrew Parish office OR in the Chapel hallway after Masses on the weekend of February 16. If you only attend one fundraiser this year, let this be the one you choose.
