Mission Statement:

In the Worship commission we help parishioners grow in holiness by participating in the liturgical life of the parish and developing their own spiritual life.

Meeting Time:

2nd Tuesday of each month, September through June @ 7:30pm

Current Objectives:
  1. Educate all Worship Commission ministries as to their roles within the Liturgy by means of workshops, practical training, and periodic review.
    • Create an introductory DVD, whose purpose it is to inspire those who are interested in pursuing that ministry.
    • Create an instructional DVD and a manual for various ministries for training and renewal purposes.
    • Use the Website for schedules and to update ministries on changes in procedures.
  2. Broaden awareness of Worship Commission activities by use of the St. Andrew Website and Parish Bulletin.
    • Frequently update the section on Worship Commission Website to include agenda and other pertinent information from our meetings.
    • Include points of interest, such as: artwork; history of devotions, of the liturgy, and of the Church; reverent atmosphere in Church.
    • Encourage new members of the commission and inform them of its ministries.
  3. Develop and promote spiritual devotions for the Area Church, including non-church Catholic facilities; i.e., hospitals, retreat centers, nursing homes, etc.
    • Offer Evening of Recollection.
    • Offer Stations of the Cross.
    • Offer Wednesday evening Lenten Masses
    • Offer Communal Penance Services throughout the year.
    • Offer Novenas.
    • And other appropriate activities where there is sufficient interest and leadership
