About Stewardship

Mission Statement:

The Stewardship Commission is a service group to the Parish Pastoral Council and to the other Commissions of the Council. It plans, recommends, and with council approval, implements action on parish financial matters and the effective management and use of parish resources. These resources include parishioners’ time, skills and talents and money that is raised or offered. The Stewardship Commission also advises on matters relating to St Andrew campus facility management and maintenance.

2nd Tuesday of each month, September through June @ 7:30pm

Current Objectives:
  • Parish Volunteer Database
  • Community Involvement – Develop positive relationship with City of Rochester
  • Promoting programs within the parish Vicariate and broader community
  • Support the Church on the current space and building program
  • Review the level of funding budgeted for all commissions for education specifically targeted at Church teachings and heritage and assesses increased funding
  • Stewardship Awareness Focus – Time, talent & Treasure. Gift discernment (God is present in all places at all times, use life experiences to help others). Commitment to help others is not optional; it is part of the Baptized Christian’s responsibility.

Facilities Projects in Progress:

  • Chapel/Narthex floor covering – in process
  • Ceiling Beam Delaminating – complete
  • Church sound system upgrade – complete
  • Campus upgrade for 100th birthday – pending
  • Sidewalk leveling/replacement – pending
  • Update Stewardship website – ongoing
  • Building and equipment inventory

Talents Needed:

  • Civil engineer for campus upgrade and/or ceiling beam delaminating
  • Manager for campus self inspection
  • Graphics artist
